Job Title: Installation Survey Engineer Intern

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Installation Survey Engineer Intern to join our team at Prysmian Group.

About the Role:

The Installation Survey Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting in the engineering of survey works relevant to submarine cables. This will involve assisting in the cable route engineering, which is mainly developed in a GIS environment.

The successful candidate will also provide support from Milano HQ for the execution of geophysical or geotechnical survey activities. They will be responsible for giving inputs for the management and analysis of survey data.

Additionally, the Installation Survey Engineer Intern will support installation engineers during the tender phase of projects and may be required to participate in technical studies related to the interaction between submarine excavating machines and seabed soil.

Requirements:
  • A master's degree in Geology/Geophysics (or a related field) is required.
  • Fluent English language skills are essential.
  • Specific interest and curiosity in technical topics are necessary.
  • Good relationship approach and team working capability are required.
  • Pragmatism and flexibility are essential.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with basic and common software are necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge about Geophysical equipment and techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge about Geotechnical equipment and techniques is a plus.
  • Knowledge about Geographical Information System is a plus.
  • Knowledge about Geotechnical behavior of soils is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge about cartography and Datum transformation is a plus.
  • Practical experience on GIS software (in particular ArcGIS) and ACAD software is a plus.
  • Capability to prepare technical documentation is a plus.
