Prysmian Group is seeking a skilled Land Cable Installation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our proposal engineering team, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions for land cable installation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain knowledge of the cable market, including customers, competitors, and subcontractors.
- Examine tender documentation and survey data to create technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to refine and finalize technical solutions.
- Participate in clarifications meetings with customers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with Prysmian's requirements.
- Prepare and issue technical specifications for subcontractors and evaluate proposals from potential subcontractors.
- Assess and quantify risks associated with installation activities and develop installation costs.
- Prepare technical descriptions of work and documentation for customers.
- Participate in negotiations and clarification meetings with customers after proposal presentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline.
- Fluent in English, written and spoken.
- Curious and eager to learn and improve autonomy.
- Precise, proactive, problem-solving, and target-oriented.
- Capacity to understand and conceptualize complexity into concise frameworks.
- Pragmatic, flexible, and capable of setting and handling priorities.
- Good relationship approach and team working capability.
- Knowledge and familiarity with basic software like Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and Web.
- Experience in same or similar role and area.
- Knowledge of / experience in the land cable installation world and/or civil works coming from operative or engineering roles.
- Experience in proposal engineering activities such as costing, planning, subcontracting, technical proposal preparation, negotiation possibly relevant to land installation or at least in other areas Prysmian.
