We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Aquaculture Officer. This is a key role that will involve leading and managing teams, providing technical leadership and expertise, and representing the organization at international meetings and conferences.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage highly specialized or multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership and expertise in the field of aquaculture and fisheries management.
- Develop and implement programs of work, including the development of approaches, strategies, and related tools and methodologies.
- Conduct research and analysis activities to support the development of technical standards and international instruments.
- Provide technical and policy advice to members and technical support to decentralized offices.
- Represent the organization at international meetings and conferences, and develop and negotiate effective working relationships with international and national stakeholders.
- Advanced university degree in the fields of aquaculture, fisheries science, or related fields.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in the field of international aquaculture and fisheries affairs.
- Working knowledge of English and limited knowledge of another official language.
