Senior Marine Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Marine Maintenance Engineer to join our global team at Wärtsilä Corporation. Located in Taranto, Italy, this role will involve performing advanced troubleshooting on site, inspecting work, and preparing technical reports. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of mechanical principles, English, and Italian, with the ability to read technical drawings and follow company guidelines.

As a Senior Marine Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for executing planned maintenances, repairing jobs, and carrying out engine product trouble shooting. Your expertise will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our marine equipment.
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong motivation to learn and grow professionally, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our global team to deliver exceptional service and support to our customers. We offer a competitive salary of approximately €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute planned maintenances on board and repairing jobs on Wärtsilä OEM engines and its auxiliaries
- Overhaul engine components at site/on board
- Carry out engine product trouble shooting, routine maintenance & components investigation
- Prepare service work reports and travel expense reports on time and with expected Wärtsilä quality
- Good knowledge of English and Italian
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Knowledge of mechanical principles, especially related to marine engines
- Strong motivation to learn and grow professionally
- Ability to follow directions
