Main Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a skilled Technologist to manage global multiple Hard Boiled Candy and Lollipop projects from formulation development to industrial line design and start-up, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and conduct trials and experiments in the pilot plant under the supervision of the Senior Technologist, collaborating to innovate or improve quality and cost of edible parts, and maintaining contact with external suppliers for new ingredients opportunities.
  • Ensure new products align with Group R&D policies regarding ingredients, claims, and nutritional content.
  • Lead laboratory activities in Lainate for new recipes or improvement of existing ones.
  • Accurately record experimental objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Utilize internal software by applying proper recipe and process flow logic, training local teams as needed.
  • Support the Senior Technologist in organizing and assisting with factory trials, liaising with Local R&D teams and external suppliers, defining recipes, process parameters, and product specifications.
  • Support the Senior Technologist in providing advice and support on product modifications and cost reduction processes, maintaining quality standards, and improving yields.
  • Benchmarking and internal product evaluation, performing benchmark analysis, requesting analysis of tests and/or reference samples, and characterizing products through various measurement techniques.
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings and discussions to achieve agreed project plans and timing.
Requirements
  • Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
  • 3 years' experience in confectionery, bakery, or pasta products and processes.
  • Technological knowledge in confectionery, especially in hard-boiled candy and lollipop technology.
  • Good level of English for technical discussions and report preparation.
  • Good knowledge of product formulation, recipes, and candy processes.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory and with machines.
  • Project management skills.
  • Collaborative team player with flexibility and high commitment to work.
