About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainable Energy Engineer to join our team in Milan, Italy. This is a full-time, regular position that requires excellent technical expertise and a strong ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
Job Description
The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of projects in the energy sector, focusing on design, permitting, and authorization of renewable energy plants, such as wind and solar photovoltaic facilities. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing feasibility studies, due diligence reports, and design & engineering documents;
- Conducting environmental impact assessments and analyzing constraints on project sites;
- Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet Stantec's quality standards;
- Delivering high-quality reports and proposals that meet client expectations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Master's degree in Environmental or Energy Engineering;
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in design, permitting & authorization, and due diligence of renewable energy plants, preferably in engineering and/or consultancy companies;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent command of Italian and English;
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS), and Microsoft Office tools;
- Ability to work autonomously, with flexibility and proactivity in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary of €60,000 - €80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
