About the Role

As a Safety Assurance Specialist at Alstom, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our projects. You will be responsible for performing and ensuring the activities related to safety assurance, under the supervision of a Safety Assurance Manager, as per the Safety process defined in Signaling Safety Instruction.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all Safety Assurance activities on the project, including Safety analysis, Hazard Log management, review of RAM, Cyber, V&V, and T&C activities from a Safety perspective.
  • Define safety plans and build Safety Reports and Safety Cases.
  • Apply safety assurance methodologies, including risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification, and validation, as defined for the project.
  • Attend periodic Safety Reviews and defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal and external assessors.
  • Define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessors.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (preferably Electronic Engineering) or similar.
  • Knowledge concerning the Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc) and safety methodology & concepts/principles.
  • Successful experience in RAMS / Functional Safety Assurance is an asset.
  • English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation.
