We are seeking a highly skilled Facility and Utilities Engineer to join our team at Takeda. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our facility's utilities and site facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain all aspects of facility utilities, including utilities and site facilities management, plant electric substations, emergency generators, chillers, steam generation, softeners, domestic water, HVAC systems, air compressors, and process air.
- Ensure compliant GMP operations and maintain quality management systems related to equipment failures, deviations, and unplanned events.
- Perform root cause investigations and develop corrective actions to drive reliability.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs and metrics to ensure fit-for-purpose equipment and instruments.
- Manage expansion and improvement projects, including drafting change requests, risk assessments, and project documentation.
- Maintain safe, compliant, and efficient operations of clean and black utilities at the Takeda Rieti facility.
- Accountable for management of site utilities budget and utilization of in-house and contract labor.
- Partner with maintenance and procurement to provide support for management of spare parts within the asset maintenance program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field, mechanical or electrical preferred.
- 5+ years of experience managing utilities and energy management/sustainability programs preferred.
- Knowledge of facilities equipment and utility systems, especially in steam generation and distribution.
- Recognized as a subject matter expert in Energy Management and Sustainability.
- Responsible for the design, commissioning, and delivery of facility and utilities engineering projects.
- Knowledge of process equipment, process instrumentation, controls, and automation within an operational facility.
- Energy and sustainability knowledge, including LEED, energy sourcing, and sustainability practices.
- Knowledge of demand-side energy analytics and management.
