We are seeking a skilled Junior Software Developer to join our engineering team at Jeenka.

You will work closely with our team to build the server-side of our websites and web applications.

Your primary responsibility will be to translate our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications.

We expect you to be a tech-savvy individual who is curious about new digital technologies and aspires to combine usability with visual design.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for creating a functional and attractive digital environment for our company, ensuring a great user experience.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code by utilizing best software development practices.
  • Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging.
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
  • Create and maintain software documentation.
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our websites.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and apply them to our operations and activities.

Requirements:

  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Expertise with PHP, Laravel, and MySQL.
  • Basic expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Basic expertise in WordPress and basic concepts on theme development.
  • Basic experience with Docker is a plus.
  • Basic experience with serverless architectures is a plus.
  • Understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and best development practices.
  • Good problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude.
  • Fluent in Italian and English.
  • German is a plus.
