Each day, our dedicated team contributes to advancing greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting urban areas while minimizing carbon footprints and reducing reliance on automobiles.

We are currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Method Engineer for our Savigliano Site in Italy.

Key Responsibilities:

During Specification and Preliminary Design Phases:
  • Collaborate with the Process Engineer or the Product Industrialization Manager to enhance product manufacturability and meet quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) objectives.
  • Engage in product design reviews as necessary.
  • Estimate Method Time for processes.
During Detailed Design Phase and Pre-Serial Go:
  • Participate in Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (P-FMEA).
  • Contribute to the validation of prototypes when applicable.
  • Request necessary tooling and draft tooling specifications.
  • Depending on the domain, execute ERP routings, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, and programming for CNC machines, ensuring optimal EHS and ergonomic conditions.
  • Perform task sequencing for workstations.
  • Validate product design and industrialization through First Article Review (FAR) and First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Calculate accurate Method Time.
After Serial Go:
  • Industrialize retrofits following engineering changes, including routings, Work Instructions, and tooling.
  • Support production teams in achieving manufacturing QCD targets.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., SWIP).
  • Contribute to industrial feedback on manufacturing processes.

Educational Requirements:

  • Technical education in electrical, mechanical, or welding disciplines.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Desired Knowledge / Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably within the railway sector.
  • Technical expertise in Manufacturing Engineering, including the creation of manufacturing work instructions and line balancing.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, routings, and configuration tracking.
  • Working knowledge of Quality, EHS standards, and Ergonomics.
  • Proficient with common industrial tools.
  • Experience with Process FMEA and Quick Response Quality Control (QRQC).
  • Competence in time analysis methods (MTM, MEK, UAS).
