About the Role

XTEL is a leading provider of advanced, AI-driven solutions to consumer goods companies. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Strategist to join our team and contribute to our mission of accelerating profitable revenue growth and value realization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our agile teams to design, build, and deliver our products, ensuring they meet the business requirements of our customers.
  • Translate and deliver customer business requirements into production software, serving as the go-to person for your product area.
  • Collaborate with other product owners and engineering teams to design solutions for business use cases and provide input for the product roadmap.
  • Ensure your scrum team(s) have enough business context for the solutions to be built and feel comfortable taking ownership of our solutions.
  • Gather requirements, define and communicate backlog based on customer outcomes.
  • Specify features and write user stories in terms of outcomes and user flows, aided by visual tools where appropriate, and with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Represent the targeted end users in backlog grooming sessions and ensure that complex features are appropriately scoped and broken down in the backlog.
  • Work closely with other product owners to ensure your solutions are aligned.
  • Work closely with the product design team to design effective end-to-end user experiences.
  • Work closely with product architects to prioritize and clarify business value of technical enablers on the backlog for your module.
  • Work with the scrum team to adjust where required through scope adjustment or expectation management.
  • Build close relationships and rapport with the scrum teams.
  • Champion incremental improvement in processes and foster an environment that encourages all team members to contribute.
  • Provide support (i.e. last level of support) to the other PO teams when requested, and in alignment with the priorities agreed with the Product manager.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role in a software company.
  • Experience in Trade Promo Management, pricing, promotions, or revenue optimization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good English mandatory.
  • Ability to convey complex concepts to various stakeholders.
  • You rather ask "why" than "how" and "what".
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have affinity with design thinking/user-centered design techniques including methods in user research, usability assessment, interaction design, and visual user interface design.
  • Familiarity in Product Management tools.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with SaaS platforms and agile methodologies.
  • Experienced in gathering and validating functional requirements and user needs with various stakeholders (internally and externally).
  • Data Analysis / Economic Analysis / Financial Analysis.
  • Strong orientation towards understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Ability to align product strategy with business objectives.
  • Ability to constructively explore, inquire, challenge stakeholder ideas.
