About the Role

Ansaldo Energia is seeking a skilled Nuclear Fluid Systems Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering design activities mainly referring to fluid process systems for nuclear applications.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the execution of design activities with best engineering practices, technical specs, P&IDs, instruments and components lists, PFDs, components and systems sizing calculation, purchase technical specifications, technical evaluation of the Supplier's offers, technical follow-up of the supplies.

Follow up the manufacturing, the factory acceptance tests, the on-site installation and testing activities of the mentioned process components.

Coordinate mono-disciplinary working groups.

Requirements

Master degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering or similar. The Ph.D. is considered an advantage.

5 years, of which at least 3 years in research and development in scope-related fields.

Good knowledge of complex machines, mechanisms and robotic applications in the industrial sector.

Basic skills for the production and assembly of mechanical components.

Experience in engineering aspects of robotics and mechatronics.

Good understanding of security aspects.

Knowledge of manufacturing aspects.

Integration of on-board control, acquisition and feeding systems.

Additional Skills

Experience in the application of nuclear codes.

Knowledge of 3D modelling systems.

Knowledge of FEM analysis methods.

Spirit of initiative, curiosity and passion for technology and innovation.

Good critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent command of written and spoken English.

Available for frequent travels, even at short notice.
