Job Description

We are seeking a Mechatronics Design Specialist to conceptualize and define complex machines equipped with on-board control systems for remote tasks in a nuclear environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Conceptualize and design mechanical components

Define control architecture, main logics, and data acquisition for safe machine operation

Define technical specifications for prototype component purchase or manufacture

Conceptualize and design test facilities for solution qualification

Integrate operability principles in nuclear environments

Test supervision and data collection

Maximize synergies with Ansaldo group's capabilities.

Requirements

Master's degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering or similar

5 years of experience, with at least 3 years in research and development

Good knowledge of complex machines, mechanisms, and robotic applications

Basic skills for mechanical component production and assembly

Experience in robotics and mechatronics engineering aspects

Good understanding of security aspects

Knowledge of manufacturing aspects

Integration of on-board control, acquisition, and feeding systems

Additional skills:

Experience in nuclear code application

Knowledge of 3D modeling systems

Knowledge of FEM analysis methods

Spirit of initiative, curiosity, and passion for technology and innovation

Good critical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills

Fluent command of written and spoken English

Available for frequent travels, even at short notice.
