Job Description

As a Mechatronics Design Engineer in the Nuclear Sector, you will conceptualize and define complex machines equipped with on-board control systems for the execution of remote tasks in a nuclear environment. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conceptualization and design of mechanical components
• Definition of the control architecture, the main logics and the acquisition of the data necessary for the safe operation of the machine
• Definition of technical specifications for the purchase or manufacture of prototype components
• Conceptualization and design of test facilities for the qualification of solutions
• Integration of the basic principles for operability in nuclear environments
• Test supervision and data collection

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace Engineering or similar
• At least 5 years of experience in scope-related fields, with at least 3 years in research and development
• Good knowledge of complex machines, mechanisms and robotic applications in the industrial sector
• Basic skills for the production and assembly of mechanical components
• Experience in engineering aspects of robotics and mechatronics
• Good understanding of security aspects
• Knowledge of manufacturing aspects
• Integration of on-board control, acquisition and feeding systems
• Additional skills: experience in the application of nuclear codes, knowledge of 3D modelling systems and knowledge of FEM analysis methods
