Data Center Operations Manager

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure. This includes ensuring the cloud is running smoothly and efficiently for our customers. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that make this possible. Our team works on complex problems with many variables impacting the supply chain, and we're looking for talented individuals to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
You'll collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We're passionate about quality and quantity of services being provided, and we continuously strive to improve our Customer Experience.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a team of Data Center Technicians, including individual and team performance.
- Lead and supervise the team to maintain and troubleshoot systems, hardware, and network devices.
- Ensure effective and efficient management of data center operations, including ticket queue management and hardware logistics.
- Inspire and guide improvement in team process, technology innovation, and automation.
- Manage outage by severity level and act as the call leader.
- 5+ years of people management experience within an IT environment.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of change, problem, and incident management.
- Fluent verbal and written communication in English.
- Understanding of Financial budgeting, Capex, and Opex concepts.
