Position Overview
GRS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Accounting Officer for a prominent client in the currency solutions sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting and be proficient in both Greek and English.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and process various financial transactions including invoices, employee reimbursements, and journal entries.
  • Utilize automated systems to post, update, and retrieve accounting information.
  • Record financial data accurately within the accounting framework.
  • Conduct end-of-day accounting procedures.
  • Maintain VAT records and compile quarterly VAT reports.
  • Execute timely bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare essential monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports for regulatory compliance.
  • Organize and archive documents related to accounting functions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and advisors.
  • Develop and monitor expense schedules against the company budget.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
  • A degree in accounting or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Payment Institutions, EMIs, or Investment firms is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Sage accounting software is a plus.
  • Fluency in Greek and English is essential.
