YOUR MISSION
We are looking for a skilled Demand Planner to become an integral part of our Production & Supply Chain (P&S) team. In this essential position, you will ensure the seamless, efficient, and sustainable operation of our supply chain, aligning with our commitment to revolutionizing agriculture through innovative practices.
As the Demand Planner for Italy, you will be central to our European Supply Chain Network, executing precise demand and supply planning tasks. Your analytical expertise and ability to engage cross-functional teams will be vital in articulating the most probable sales forecasts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead collaborative Demand Review sessions with Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to establish consensus on unconstrained sales forecasts, utilizing data, statistical forecasting, and sound assumptions.
- Enhance forecast key performance indicators (KPIs) through continuous improvement initiatives, including root cause analysis and process optimization.
- Ensure accurate demand and supply plans are maintained in our systems, accounting for events such as consignments, giveaways, and planned returns.
- Establish and uphold disaggregation ratios to mirror anticipated sales trends (Forecasting Tool at SU/sales area/Month; APO DP profile at SKU/Warehouse/weekly level).
- Balance demand against supply plans, taking into account product categorization (A, B, C) and supply chain responsiveness (production campaign, allocation, binding period, etc.).
- Create and manage purchase orders with manufacturing plants and third-party suppliers, adhering to guidelines and internal policies.
- For tolling planning execution (third-party manufacturing sites):
- Develop bill of materials.
- Define annual demand requirements.
- Conduct Rough Cut Capacity Planning.
- Oversee materials planning and vendor relationships.
- Manage direct deliveries, consignments, returns to Supply Chain EAME, and combi/twin packs sourcing based on supply strategy.
- Prepare and update artworks in accordance with regulations and production requirements.
- Oversee inventory management, including the analysis of slow-moving or non-moving items.
- Update SKUs on Material Master Data on GSAP/SAP4Hana & IBP, following Product Lifecycle Management (PLCM) protocols.
- Act as the primary contact for European Supply Chain planners within the country.
- Contribute to supply chain projects and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- 1-3 years of experience in supply chain management/operations and demand planning.
- Understanding of planning cycles, sales cycles, production processes, and systems.
- Familiarity with supply chain systems such as SAP, APO, GSAP, and IBP (experience with GSAP and IBP is advantageous).
- Proficient in advanced Excel usage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct in-depth supply chain analysis.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities to collaborate effectively with key stakeholders in plants and Marketing & Sales.
- Project management and teamwork skills.
- Fluency in Italian and English (B2 or higher certification level).
