Job Title: O&M Manuals & Training Manager

Hitachi Rail is seeking an experienced and motivated O&M Manuals & Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our documentation team, you will be responsible for managing a group of experienced technical writers to produce high-quality operation and maintenance documentation, training courses, and ensuring the proper interface management between the Design and Build team and the O&M team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of technical writers to produce operation and maintenance documentation, training courses, and other related materials.
  • Ensure timely delivery of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedule and budget.
  • Develop and implement a plan to ensure the preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Design and Build team to ensure effective interface management and ensure that the O&M team receives the necessary documentation and support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, including new editor software, and coordinate the implementation and communication of these changes.
  • Review and implement customer feedback to ensure that the documentation meets the needs of our customers.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team.
  • Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of the integrated systems that comprise a metro system.
  • Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, applications, and ability to learn new technical skills quickly.
  • International experience and ability to manage international projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, leadership skills, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
