JOB PURPOSE

MSC Cruises, recognized as the 3rd largest cruise operator globally, is embarking on an ambitious investment strategy totaling €13.6 billion, which encompasses the development of up to 17 innovative digital vessels, alongside terminals and other significant assets.

We are currently seeking an IT Infrastructure Delivery Manager to join our team in Naples, which serves as the primary service delivery hub for the Group.

This role offers the flexibility of smart working arrangements to promote an optimal work-life balance.

In a dynamic and expanding IT department, the IT Infrastructure Delivery Manager will report directly to the IT Senior Platforms Manager and will be tasked with overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of IT Infrastructure projects within our headquarters' data centers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Lead infrastructure teams (both internal and external) in the strategic planning and execution of data center projects;

- Assist the unit in selecting the most suitable data center solutions;

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data center infrastructure with organizational objectives;

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members;

- Manage the lifecycle of data center components: from introduction and deployment to maintenance and retirement;

- Supervise the daily operations of all data center components within scope;

- Oversee the deployment of hardware within data centers;

- Engage in capacity planning and resource forecasting for data center expansions;

- Establish key performance indicators for data center components and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs);

- Implement quality control measures to guarantee the reliability and performance of data center infrastructure;

- Collaborate with vendors for the procurement of data center hardware, software, and services;

- Adhere to internal processes while managing budgets and contracts for all data center components;

- Cultivate relationships with both internal and external stakeholders;

- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation regarding data center configurations, procedures, and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

- Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Proficiency in additional languages is advantageous;

- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;

- A minimum of 8 years of total experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within infrastructure;

- Capable of communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences while meeting tight deadlines;

- Strong communication skills to effectively align stakeholders.

Hands-On experience with:

- Planning, designing, and implementing data center infrastructure;

- Deployment and management of server hardware, storage, and backup solutions;

- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare);

- Implementation of automation tools and scripts to enhance infrastructure tasks;

- Leading and managing infrastructure projects from inception to completion;

Experience with the following products is a plus:

o HPE Synergy 480 Gen10 Plus compute;

o Storage solutions such as PureStorage, HPE Alletra & EMC UNITY;

o Backup disk library based on Cisco Hyperscale S3260;

o IBM Tape library TS4300;

o Backup & Recovery product CommVault;

o IBM Power8 & Power9 is an advantage;

o Oracle Exadata X8 & X6 is an advantage.
