About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineering Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our program core team, you will be responsible for establishing the system development strategy and implementing the system roadmap in collaboration with our System Design Architectures group manager, System Design Authority, System Architects, and System Engineering and product developments Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the program core team to drive system development and ensure QCD commitments
  • Apply processes, methods, and tools as referenced by the program development processes
  • Collaborate with the System Program Manager, program core team, and support of the System Architect(s) to define the system development strategy and roadmap for development and sustaining
  • Define and obtain commitments and maintain WP (Work Package) files (QCD commitments) for the system/sub-system in your scope
  • Produce and maintain the System Engineering Management Plan identifying system development strategy and baselines, processes and tailoring, technical risks, specific technical referents, and configuration management plan
  • Ensure application of technical decision management, validate decisions together with program stakeholders, and organize System Design Reviews
  • Organize and lead system development activities to ensure QCD commitment, coordinate system development activities, and participate in system development schedule review
  • Establish consolidated reporting on your WPs of the system development and provide QCD analysis estimation on evolution together with the program core and engineering teams
  • Liaise with the System Architects and System Application Architect for projects and tenders activities, and organize with the System Program Manager the capture and activities for continuous improvement
