Job Title: Field Installation Engineer

About the Role:

Prysmian Group is seeking a skilled Field Installation Engineer to join our Land & Jointing Installation department in Milano. As a key member of our team, you will support the Jointing and Land Installation Operations Coordinator in ensuring the timely installation of high-voltage system accessories with the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Jointing and Land Installation Operations Coordinator to optimize manning and equipment utilization for land HV system installation activities.
  • Liaise with Project Management, PMO, Quality, and HSE to ensure project needs are met and aligned with Prysmian and contractual expectations.
  • Attend site visits to understand technical aspects, check feasibility of solutions, and provide technical and logistical support.
  • Interface with clients for site execution activities, as needed.
  • Plan activities to optimize people and equipment utilization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal rules, procedures, and QHSE standards throughout the process.
  • Supervise the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and other necessary documentation for on-site works.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
  • Previous work experience in a site-based construction role or electrical testing and commissioning activities (2-4 years preferred).
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Excellent relationship and team working abilities.
  • Problem-solving, target-oriented, and capable of defining and setting priorities.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to continuous change.
  • Eager to learn.
  • Previous client relationship experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic and common software (Office suite and Autocad 2D).
