About the Role
Planetek Italia is seeking a highly skilled Mission Operations Specialist to join our team in Athens. As a key member of our Ground Segment team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative mission operations facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and development of the Mission Control subsystem specification;
- Define and update the Mission Control subsystem architecture;
- Prepare the Mission Control subsystem development plans, test plans, test procedures;
- Define and maintain the Mission Control procedures, including system and ground segment procedures and operations guides;
- Support the system and ground segment verification and validation activities, and operations preparation.
Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent qualification in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering or another relevant discipline;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Mission Operations, with skills in Ground segments facilities and operations, Mission Control engineering / development / operation, Mission Control software development, configuration, test procedures preparation, execution and reporting, and defining and implementing the verification and validation of spacecraft mission control systems;
- Proficiency in English and Greek;
- Familiarity with ECSS and CCSDS standards for space-to-ground interfaces, Packet Telemetry and Telecommand standards, PUS (Packet Utilization Standard), Satellite Mission Control Systems (e.g. SCOS-2000), Satellite configuration databases including SQL querying, SW and communications, Model based engineering, and Configuration management systems.
