About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Datacenter Technician to join our team in Milan. As a Datacenter Technician, you will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service and ensuring that our data center facilities operate at optimal levels.

Responsibilities
  1. Respond to all customer support requests in a timely and efficient manner, whether it's for technical assistance or material delivery.
  2. Work closely with the Customer Operations Team Leader to ensure proper recording and billing of interventions.
Installations
  1. Assist in installing equipment and infrastructure related to customer contracts, including initial installations and contract renewals.
  2. Perform wiring services according to customer specifications, including testing and labeling.
  3. Help maintain optimal airflow conditions in customer facilities through the installation of blanking panels and instruction on perforated tiles.
  4. Propose improvements to urbanization, organization of wiring, and installed components of customer configurations.
Monitoring/Alerts
  1. Monitor tools located in Control Rooms, especially outside working hours, to transmit alarms to the facilities Operations team.
  2. Conduct daily rounds to note and communicate any anomalies linked to technical equipment or breaches of regulations.
Qualifications
  1. High school diploma preferably in Electrical/electronics.
  2. Willingness to work shifts under a rotation schedule, including overnight shifts and bank holidays.
  3. Ability to interact with customers in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  4. Customer/service spirit, serious, attention to detail, and rigour.
Preferred Requirements
  1. Knowledge of the Datacenter environment beyond clean rooms.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a similar environment.
  3. Experience in fibre welding.
  4. Knowledge of data protocols, wiring technologies, and current telecom/IT equipment.
  5. Self-driving ability to move between data centers if required.
