Team Overview and Job Responsibilities

We are in search of a Jointing Superintendent for our Business Unit Project. The successful candidate will report directly to the Jointing and Land Installation Manager. This role involves overseeing multiple teams of jointers engaged in specific offshore and onshore projects (platforms or vessels), both nationally and internationally. Daily collaboration with the Installation Engineering team is essential, as the sites will be located globally, necessitating frequent travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop method statements and other essential documentation to facilitate on-site operations in collaboration with Installation Engineering.
  • Coordinate various teams of jointers to ensure timely installation of all contract-required accessories, adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Strategically plan activities to optimize resources and tools allocated for accessory installation at specific sites.
  • Supervise site operations, focusing on resource management (personnel and assets), technical considerations, logistics, and HSE compliance.
  • Manage subcontracted helpers on-site as necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures throughout the entire process.
  • Conduct and oversee sheath testing activities on cables as required.

Key Requirements:

  • Familiarity with technical aspects and experience in cable installation activities on land sites is preferred.
  • Understanding of technical documentation related to land cable installation is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings and basic designs of cables and accessories is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to guide a team towards achieving predefined objectives are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and subcontractors.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a target-oriented mindset, with a capacity to manage priorities in alignment with management.
  • Willingness to learn quickly and demonstrate self-commitment.
  • Proficiency in common software tools such as Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, AutoCAD, and general internet usage.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Availability for frequent domestic and international travel, including offshore sites (vessels and platforms).
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Valid driving license.
