Objective
The Junior Engineer for Construction Proposals plays a vital role in the preparation of project proposals, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to timelines, under the guidance of the Construction Estimating & Proposal Group Leader.
Core Responsibilities
- Support the finalization of comprehensive construction cost estimates;
- Assist in the preparation of cost assessments related to subcontractor expenses, site management, temporary facilities, and operational costs, ensuring alignment with proposal specifications;
- Evaluate tender requirements and compile engineering bills of quantities;
- Collaborate with the construction team to define effective construction strategies and methodologies that may influence costs;
- Aid in the development of standard and localized construction man-hour estimates and bid summaries;
- Engage in Construction Bid Reviews with prospective bidders;
- Participate in discussions with clients and subcontractors as necessary;
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a foundational understanding of construction processes and estimation techniques, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
