Job Purpose

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently seeking a Technical IT Support Specialist to join our Technical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, configuring new and existing PCs, and ensuring that systems, processes, and methodologies are followed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to employees for hardware issues;
  • General computer desktop and laptop support;
  • Configure new and existing PCs according to corporate standards for deployment;
  • Desktop applications installation and troubleshooting;
  • PC hardware refresh project involvement;
  • Provide and maintain mobile devices support;
  • Ensure that remote and on-site support issues are resolved to customer satisfaction;
  • Support the setup of processes;
  • Providing 1st and 2nd level support but also leading local client/infrastructure and LAN change activities;
  • Support of local production/manufacturing connectivity;
  • Support in setting up an IT service catalogue;
  • Build IT service relationship with internal customers;
  • Ensure that systems, processes, and methodologies specified are followed and to ensure effective monitoring, control, and support of service delivery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma in information technology;
  • 5 years of working experience in information technology as IT support and delivery or service desk;
  • Good level of English;
  • Experience in service management;
  • Experience in service management tools;
  • Experience in Microsoft client/server infrastructures;
  • Experienced with Microsoft OS (Win 7, 10, 11);
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Basic application/software support i.e., SAP GUI client, browser, VPN client, backup, etc.
  • Very focused on user satisfaction and collaboration;
  • Experience in working in virtual/distributed teams;
  • Communication skills to interface with colleagues from other locations;
  • Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution.
