Flight Systems and Simulation Specialist

RINA is currently seeking a Flight Systems and Simulation Specialist to enhance its team within the Aerospace & Defence Division.
Design and Development:
Engage in the creation and integration of sophisticated flight simulation systems along with aircraft system and subsystem models aimed at pilot training and innovative design.
Optimize flight control systems, including autopilot and stability augmentation systems, ensuring adherence to industry standards and safety protocols.
Generate comprehensive design documentation, technical specifications, and system architectures.
Testing and Validation:
Execute thorough testing and validation processes for flight simulators and control systems to guarantee performance and dependability.
Employ simulation software and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing techniques to confirm system functionality.
Evaluate test data and deliver detailed reports along with recommendations for system enhancements.
Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with software engineers, hardware engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate flight systems and simulators into broader aerospace initiatives.
Participate in and occasionally lead design reviews, technical discussions, and project planning meetings.
Offer technical support and mentorship to team members and stakeholders, guiding junior engineers as necessary.
Maintenance and Upgrades:
Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and updates on existing models and control systems.
Implement significant upgrades and enhancements to boost system performance and incorporate emerging technologies.
Ensure all systems meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Documentation and Training:
Create detailed user manuals, technical documentation, and training resources for flight simulation systems.
Facilitate advanced training sessions for end-users, including pilots and maintenance personnel, on the operation and upkeep of developed flight systems.
