About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HMI & UX Engineer to join our team at Bertrandt. As an HMI & UX Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of innovative and user-friendly human machine interfaces for the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Steer and Coordinate HMI Development Activities

Lead and coordinate the development of HMI solutions for in-vehicle displays and switches, ensuring seamless integration with the vehicle's systems.

Create and Present UI/UX Concepts

Design and present UI/UX concepts for new functionalities on infotainment, instrument cluster, and head-up display, ensuring a cohesive and intuitive user experience.

Develop HMI Flows and Wireframes

Create wireframes and HMI flows in early project stages, ensuring a clear understanding of the user's journey and the system's functionality.

Produce Technical Documentation

Apply requirement engineering methodologies to produce high-quality technical documentation, including concept and development analysis, feasibility reports, and CAD data analysis.

Maintenance and Bug Fixing

Maintain specifications and documentation, and perform bug fixing to ensure the highest quality of the HMI solutions.

SW Tracking and Implementation Plan

Develop and implement software tracking and implementation plans for SW releases, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of HMI solutions.

Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Engineering

A Master's degree in Engineering is required for this role.

UI/UX Design Knowledge

Knowledge of UI/UX design according to automotive regulations is essential.

HMI Development Software

Knowledge of HMI development software is a plus.

Software Development Process

Knowledge of the software development process (v-cycle) is required.

HMI Prototyping Tools

Knowledge of HMI prototyping tools is essential.

CAN Communication Protocols

Knowledge of CAN communication protocols and relative diagnostic tools is required.

Microsoft Office Suite

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required.

Jira/Confluence/Canalyzer

Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and Canalyzer is a plus.

English Language

Knowledge of the English language is essential.

Driving License B

A driving license B is required.
