Job Summary

The US Army Installation Management Command is seeking a qualified Child Care Specialist to join our team. As a Child and Youth Program Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and supervision to children in our programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement activities that meet the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of program participants.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and staff members.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff members, including responding to inquiries and concerns.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should also be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.

Work Environment

This position requires working indoors and outdoors in various settings, including childcare centers and youth programs. You may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends.

Benefits

The US Army Installation Management Command offers a competitive salary range of $34,346 - $52,439 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. You will also receive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
