In Vivo Pharmacology Research Specialist

The role involves overseeing in vivo pharmacology investigations within Discovery and Development initiatives, utilizing expertise in advanced principles, theories, and concepts within the respiratory field.
Main Responsibilities Develop, implement, and analyze in vivo pharmacology studies to assess the effectiveness of novel compounds and explore their mechanisms of action.
Create and refine new in vivo models for lung fibrosis while integrating imaging techniques such as BLI, FMT, and Micro-CT.
A minimum of 2 years of pertinent industry or research experience in in vivo studies.
Education A scientific degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Veterinary, Animal Science, or a related field.
A PhD is preferred but not essential.
Proficiency in Italian and English.
Technical Skills
• Proven experience in conducting in vivo disease models and assessing pharmacological treatments.
• Demonstrated capability in animal handling (mice and rats), with the ability to independently administer treatments via various routes.
• Ability to plan personal tasks and weekly agendas with guidance based on objectives and priorities.
• Experience in troubleshooting and validating in vivo assays.
• Basic familiarity with key in vitro/ex vivo laboratory techniques (e.g., protein/RNA extraction from animal tissues, PCR, and ELISA assays).
• Knowledge of imaging methodologies (e.g., bioluminescence, fluorescence, and Micro CT) and ex vivo histological techniques (e.g., IHC, staining) is advantageous.
• Competence in processing results and performing basic statistical data analysis (Excel, GraphPad Prism).
