Job Description

Orienta S.p.A. - Agenzia per il Lavoro is seeking a Senior Quality Control Specialist for a prominent client operating in the production sector in the BAT province.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Quality Control Specialist with a solid experience in the production sector, specifically in pasta or milling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Management: Supervise all aspects of the quality control process, from raw material inspection to final product control, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
  • Process Monitoring: Continuously monitor and evaluate production processes, from milling to pasta extrusion and drying, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring product quality consistency.
  • Lab Testing and Analysis: Conduct or supervise laboratory tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products, including moisture content, gluten strength, and texture analysis, to ensure they meet required specifications.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products comply with current food safety regulations, including HACCP, BRC, ISO, and other industry standards. Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and implement necessary updates.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality control tests, audits, and inspections. Generate detailed reports for management, highlighting trends, non-conformities, and corrective actions taken.
  • Team Supervision and Training: Lead and train the quality control team, providing guidance on best practices, new testing methods, and quality standards. Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and quickly address any quality issues that arise during production, collaborating with the production team to implement corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
Requirements
  • Experience in milling or quality control in the food industry, with a focus on pasta or milling production.
  • Techincal Skills: Solid knowledge of pasta production processes, including raw material quality, extrusion, drying, and packaging. Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing procedures.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, including HACCP, BRC, ISO, and local food safety laws.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in team management, project management, and promoting quality improvement processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, suppliers, and clients.
  • Education: A degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.

The compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's effective experience and will be discussed during the interview.
