Job Title: Avionic Architect Engineer

A Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering high-tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration, science, and orbital infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a member of the System Design Department for avionics aspects.
  • Define and design the system functional/avionics architectures and relevant interfaces.
  • Perform functional analysis of complex space systems defining the functions and Sub-Systems necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Elicitation of system avionics requirements and definition of the hardware/software partition.
  • Follow-on the avionic Sub-Systems procurement.
  • Coordinate avionics verification and validation both at subsystem and system level.
  • Support Quality Assurance for discussion and disposition of NCRs during manufacturing, integration, and testing activities.
  • Interface with Customer.
Requirements:
  • Master degree in Engineering, electronic field preferred.
  • Previous work experience of at least five years in the requested discipline and field (Space) is mandatory.
  • Master SEEDS is appreciated.
  • Ability and experience in managing Subcontractors from both a technical and programmatic point of view.
  • Attitude to manage and be leader of a technical Team.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks at one time.
  • Good will in facing and learning new things.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written).
  • Knowledge of design and simulation tools (Matlab and Phyton).
  • Knowledge of Model Based System Engineering (ARCADIA) is appreciated (not mandatory).
