We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Support Educator to join our team at Primrose Schools ®. As a Support Educator, you will play a vital role in helping young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a premier educational childcare experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and care for a group of children, ensuring their physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum and programming.
• Maintain a safe, attractive, and well-kept classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence.
• Provide verbal recognition and acceptance to children while setting clear and consistent expectations for their behavior.
• Assist with maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds.
Requirements:
• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agencies.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children for program facilitation, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
