Sky is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer (Penetration Tester) to join its Cyber Security function in Milan, Italy.

The successful candidate will play a key role in measuring the effectiveness of Sky's security strategy against potential attacks by supporting and performing activities such as Red Team Assessments and Penetration Testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct penetration testing for new architectures and initiatives to ensure their security certification.
  • Manage Red/Purple Teaming activities carried out by external suppliers to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Validate security test reports and deliverables to ensure they meet Sky's standards.
  • Create and regularly update guidelines for secure development, infrastructure, and application hardening.
  • Develop and implement cyber security solutions or tools to support activities related to security assurance.
  • Design metrics and dashboards to measure capabilities and performance of the Cyber Security function.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in computer science or Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent education.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.
  • A good understanding of the end-to-end Vulnerability Management process and related industry standards, such as CVE, CPE, CVSS.
  • Knowledge of main security/vulnerability scanning systems (e.g., Rapid 7, Qualys) and consolidated skills in interpreting/analyzing tool results.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and statistical skills.
  • Knowledge of OWASP and OSSTMM assessment methodologies.
  • Experience conducting technical assessments and audits of networks, operating systems, databases, and applications.
  • Excellent knowledge of the application development life cycle and secure development methodologies.
  • A good understanding of Cloud services and architectures.
  • Fluent English language skills, as collaboration with international teams is essential.

  • Ability to interact with other departments, suppliers, and stakeholders constructively and proactively.
  • Flexibility and autonomy in performing assigned tasks.
  • Proactive and goal-oriented mindset.
