Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Satellite Navigation System Engineer to join our team at Thales Group. As a Navigation System Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the execution of exciting programs, contributing to the acquisition of new business opportunities, and fostering Research & Development activities in the satellite navigation domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and understand customer needs through advanced studies, simulations, mock-ups, models, prototypes, etc.
  • Formalize specifications and architecture used to propose the best solution/product to clients.
  • Prepare and carry out integration, verification, and validation tests.
  • Define test plans and procedures for system-level testing.
  • Ensure the technical integration and coherence of the system design, interfaces, and performances.
  • Design the architecture of the command and control system.
  • Demonstrate the solution to the customer.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in electronic, telecommunications, computer science, aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge about basic telecommunication principles (propagation error, access schema, modulations, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the usage of System Engineering Tools (e.g., MBSE Tools, Requirement Management Tools, Simulation Tools, Matlab, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Satellite Navigation and/or Communication Systems, with at least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Experience with leading engineering projects or activities.
  • Capability to adapt and react to change.
  • Distinct propensity to teamwork and problem-solving, proactivity, and attitude to find innovative solutions.
