Job Title: Technical Leader

Essity is a global leader in hygiene and health, with a presence in 150 countries. We are seeking a Technical Leader to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Technical Leader will be responsible for developing and implementing predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance strategies to improve plant efficiency, reduce maintenance costs, and support operational teams in continuous improvement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement maintenance strategies for all equipment in the Converting area.
  • Manage and guide Process Engineers and technicians to ensure alignment between technical processes and operational goals.
  • Support teams in developing technical skills according to individual skill matrices.
  • Manage the spare parts warehouse to ensure proper stock levels and resource optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Hygiene, and Environmental regulations, promoting an active safety culture.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, monitoring expenses, and keeping costs aligned with the budget.
  • Implement new projects and continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with suppliers and contractors.
  • Use SAP-PM for maintenance management, cost control, and data updates.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in roles such as Technical Leader, Maintenance Leader, Process Leader, or similar, preferably in multinational companies in the industrial manufacturing sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of maintenance systems (predictive, preventive, corrective).
  • Strong skills in planning, organization, and priority management.
  • Proficiency in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodology is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 5S – Visual Workplace and SMED methodology is a plus.
  • Fluent in both English and Italian, both written and spoken.
  • Experience using SAP-PM or similar.
  • Inspiring and motivational leadership abilities.
  • Open and consistent communication with the team, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong team-oriented mindset and focus on achieving results.
  • Resilience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead cultural changes.
