Job Description

Role Summary

RINA is seeking a highly skilled Software Test Engineer to join its Aerospace Defence Division in L'aquila. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, install, configure, and validate the software of test equipment starting from requirements.
  • Develop detailed test cases and test scripts based on requirements and design specifications.
  • Execute functional, regression, performance, and system integration tests.
  • Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects and inconsistencies in software behavior.
  • Validate software functionality against defined software requirements, user needs, and intended use cases.
  • Perform usability testing and ensure user interface consistency and intuitiveness.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation, including test descriptions, test reports, and test summaries.
  • Document and communicate test results to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the software testing lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with software developers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues and verify bug fixes.
  • Communicate testing progress and results to project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Python) for testing purposes and test equipment implementation.
  • LabWindows/CVI and framework NI TestStand framework.
  • Knowledge of measurements instruments like network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, RF network, and power supply.
  • Ability to configure and control measurements instruments through SCPI commands.
