IT Automation Specialist

Catalent is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of pharmaceutical products, and we are looking for an experienced IT Automation Specialist to join our team.

As an IT Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the adequate management, improvement, and ongoing support of our existing IT systems, working closely with other departments to achieve this goal.

• Develop and implement IT and automation-related projects, with a focus on manufacturing shop floor environments, by identifying IT requirements, supporting the design phase, and estimating resources and support needed for project completion.
• Provide ongoing application support, change management activities, and system monitoring, ensuring compliance with current regulations, GMP, and IT regulations.
• Manage assigned business project tasks with IT streams, ensuring full control of given budgets and spending costs required to carry out implementation.
• Investigate and manage IT system issues, ensuring the management of supported IT systems and relationships with external vendors for application/servers troubleshooting.
• Support regulatory agencies' inspections and client audits, ensuring compliance with current regulations, GMP, and IT regulations.

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role or in an IT environment, preferably in the chemical/pharmaceutical area or in complex factories.
• Education: Computer Engineering degree (bachelor's or master's degree); Automation/Electronic Engineering degree with IT specialization (bachelor's or master's degree).
• Skills in proposing hardware/software solution packets to business users.
• Consolidated knowledge of the latest technology and most advanced IT systems implemented and supported.
• Knowledge of main software and SCADA systems used for automation processes: iFix, Wonderware, MS SQL, Acronis True Image, MS Windows Server.
• Good level of both spoken and written English.
