Job Description

Aon Reinsurance Italia SpA, a leading reinsurance broker, is seeking a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join its team in Milan or Rome. This is a unique opportunity to work in an international environment, collaborating with experts in catastrophe risk in Italy and EMEA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate risk analysis processes.
  • Analyze catastrophe risk and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review, evaluate, develop, and calibrate catastrophe models.
  • Develop innovative tools (e.g., parametric products and machine learning) for the insurance and reinsurance market.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or PhD in hydraulic engineering, hydrology, or atmospheric sciences/climatology.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language: R, Python, C++, C#, SQL.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and conceptual skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and deadline handling skills.
  • Curiosity, proactivity, willingness to learn, and contribute to innovation in a diverse and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background and/or experience in climate change and/or artificial intelligence (e.g., machine learning, deep learning).
Contractual Details

Indefinite contract with a salary based on previous experience.
