Job Description

Aon Reinsurance Italia SpA, a leading reinsurance broker, is seeking a Catastrophe Risk Analyst to join its team in Milan or Rome.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to work in our Catastrophe Risk Analytics team, responsible for analysing and modelling catastrophe risks, preparing and presenting results to clients, and contributing to the development and validation of innovative products for the insurance and reinsurance industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automate processes for risk analysis
  • Analyse catastrophe risks and prepare reports for stakeholders
  • Review, evaluate, develop and calibrate catastrophe models
  • Develop innovative tools and products for the insurance and reinsurance industry
Requirements
  • Master's degree or PhD in engineering, hydrology, or atmospheric sciences
  • Fluent English language skills
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language (R, Python, C++, C#, SQL)
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical and conceptual skills
  • Ability to work in a team and solve problems
  • Excellent communication, time management and deadline skills
  • Curiosity, proactivity and willingness to learn and contribute to innovation in a diverse and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Background and/or experience in climate change and/or artificial intelligence (machine learning, deep learning)
Contractual Arrangements

Contract with indefinite duration, with a salary to be determined based on previous experience.
