Job Title: Assistant Store Manager

Burberry Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales associates to improve overall selling skills and close sales to achieve sales goals and KPIs
  • Drive sales for assigned categories, including partnering with the Store Manager on sell-through and team training
  • Lead a high-performing customer-facing team, coaching and providing feedback to ensure excellent customer service
  • Manage customer flow to ensure the best possible service and no client is left unattended
  • Drive partnership between sales associates, specialists, stock and operations teams
  • Coach associates on sales techniques and customer service
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to develop and retain talented employees
  • Lead the integration of new joiners to the business
  • Lead by example, delivering exceptional customer service
  • Partner with Store Manager and Training to deliver Burberry Experience training
  • Resolve difficult customer issues and escalate to management when necessary
  • Process post-void transactions, authorise promotional discounts and employee sales in absence of store management
  • Drive the digital experience in store and use digital resources to communicate with customers
  • Hold a good understanding of the business and effectively communicate needs and ideas to drive business growth
  • Possess a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain a positive and harmonious work environment
  • Assist with the opening and closing of store
Personal Profile:
  • Advanced knowledge of POS system
  • Ability to handle complex customer service issues
  • Able to use a fluent and professional dialogue with clients and staff
  • Previous experience with Apple mobile devices and comfortable with digital tools
  • 1-2 years previous supervisory or management experience in retail sales
Measures of Success:
  • Monthly Burberry Experience evaluation score
  • Managing performance improvement and development of associates
  • Improvement in every KPI within the retail scorecard
