Regional Senior Manager - Accounting and Controls

Eaton is a global and ethical company that provides energy-efficient solutions. We are seeking a Regional Senior Manager - Accounting and Controls to join our team in the EMEA Southwest Region.

This role will provide leadership of the Accounting function for the region, ensuring accuracy of financial numbers and compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will focus on standardizing and optimizing financial processes, rolling out strategic initiatives, and working closely with the Controllership and COEs to drive efficiencies.

The role is available in Barcelona (Spain) and Turin (Italy).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all closing, accounting, and reporting for the region, ensuring accuracy and compliance with operational reporting timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to Eaton Policies, US GAAP, SOX, and local statutory/tax compliance requirements.
  • Oversee statutory reporting and serve as a corporate representative on statutory boards when applicable.
  • Collaborate with Operations to execute business strategies and enhance operational understanding.
  • Support strategic projects including tax, restructuring, M&A activities, payroll, and system implementations.
  • Drive optimization through the standardization, simplification, and automation of financial processes.
  • Manage and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative high-performance work environment.
  • Ensure budget compliance and maintain a cost-effective organization.
  • Support all statutory, tax, customs, and internal audits while maintaining ethical standards.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting / Finance.
  • Master's Degree (professional qualification) is preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance.
  • Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP desirable.
  • Fluent in English and French is a must.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Change management and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Able to work as part of a team and adhere to company standard processes, practices & policies.
  • Demonstrate strong managerial courage.
  • Skilled at building organisational capability.
