Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team at Burberry. As a key member of our Product Development function, you will be responsible for delivering the end-to-end product development process in your respective category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Senior Designers to interpret design briefs and develop prototypes and samples
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective product development
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to meet product development needs
  • Work closely with the Product Engineering team to ensure product trials and requests are actioned
  • Collaborate with the Costing department to ensure suitable alternatives are developed and presented to the studio
Requirements
  • Technical capability and product knowledge with ability to confidently influence the Design team
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and delivering clear briefs
  • Ability to manage within a budget with commercial awareness and understanding of product cost
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to negotiate with credibility and work confidently with cross-functional teams
  • In-depth knowledge of fashion and products in relevant category, knowledge of trends, the market, the luxury consumer and peer awareness
  • Languages: Italian & English advanced professional proficiency
