Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Cable Design and Costing Manager to join our team in the System Engineering Office. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the team's daily activities, revising and approving cable design documents and costs, and supporting the System Engineering areas in finding optimized solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the team's daily activities, including preparing detailed cable designs for production and aligning with R&D, Manufacturing, and System Engineering teams.
- Revise and approve cable design documents and costs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Support the System Engineering areas in finding optimized solutions, considering manufacturing and testing aspects.
- Monitor actual costs versus budget costs and implement lessons learned on cost assumptions and costing calculation rules.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing plants, Cable Designers, R&D, Testing department, and System Engineering teams to ensure smooth project execution and alignment between budget and actual cable costs.
- Share lessons learned and remedial actions with all involved parties.
- Develop a strategic view to identify opportunities for optimizing internal processes contributing to cable cost calculation.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical preferred).
- Full proficiency in written and spoken English, with other languages as a plus.
- 5-7 years' experience in product costing process in a manufacturing company.
- Managing a small team.
- Familiarity with reading and understanding Standards and technical specifications.
- Knowledge and understanding of production processes.
- Ability to combine technical knowledge and communication skills.
