Job Title: Logistics Transportation Manager

Location: Global

About the Role:

This role has responsibility for primary transportation within SC Johnson Professional, reporting to Logistics Manager. In this position, you will lead the regional primary freight team to deliver excellence in customer service at the right cost, right time, and right place.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver freight within R6 from manufacturing to RDCs (R6 = Right Product, Quantity, Quality, Time, Place, Cost)
  • Manage relationships with logistics service providers to deliver excellence in customer service
  • Manage consolidation warehouses from a cost and service perspective
  • Supervise logistics operations process execution to meet service level KPIs in full compliance with SC Johnson Professional standards
  • Develop strategic partnerships with key logistics service providers
  • Ensure all transportation operations are operated in full compliance with SC Johnson Professional and country legal standards regarding security, health, safety, environmental, and import/export regulations
  • Provide deep understanding of market conditions and business requirements to drive agility and efficiency in primary freight
  • Provide analysis, insight, and predictive measures of regional primary freight
  • Drive network improvement opportunities
  • Deliver primary freight budget
  • Apply lean principles to deliver cost savings through sustainable continuous improvement
  • Deliver cost-to-serve optimization
  • Partner with regional procurement to develop the yearly primary freight go-to-market strategy and lead tender execution
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts and senior analysts
  • Develop deep functional and sustainable capabilities in transportation
  • Partner with supply planning and logistics operations to optimize customer service and cost within the region

Experience You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree or greater in a relevant field
  • Minimum 3-4 years' experience in transportation, warehouse operations, or logistics management
  • Experience with freight bidding tools is a competitive advantage
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
