Internship Opportunity for Landscape Architect

We are seeking a talented landscape architect to contribute to the development of innovative projects in Sicily.

As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from villa rentals to gastronomy, and contribute to the creation of a sustainable and eco-friendly community.

Our team is passionate about permaculture and sustainability, and we are looking for someone who shares our values and is eager to put their knowledge into practice.

We are looking for a young talent who wants to showcase their skills and knowledge acquired at university and bring them into the real world.

You will assist the company in matters of drawings, 3D modelling, rendering, etc. and work remotely with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for you to work independently and efficiently, as well as challenge yourself and put knowledge into practice to realise the exciting projects of Siciliamia.

We are looking for a landscape architect who has creative ideas, knowledge of materials and landscape styles used traditionally around the areas of Sicily, as well as rules and regulations of building in Italy.

Whilst achieving the design goals of Siciliamia, we encourage freedom in the growth and expression of unique ideas.

Requirements
  • Clear and effective communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Passionate about research, materials and architecture.
  • Eager to support us with their ideas to improve our efficiency.
  • Independent and organized worker.
  • Sense of achievement and personal improvement.
  • Eager to put into practice the acquired knowledge.
  • Problem-solver, quick learner.
  • Willing to work in a startup.
  • Good analytical skills, clearly communicate through sketching, digital imaging to enhance/manipulate design concepts.
  • Must know Computer-Aided-Drawing (AutoCAD), and 3D design modelling Tools (SketchUp, Rhino, etc).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
  • A Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Ability to be proactive and work independently to drive projects to completion.
  • Be ready to pick up this project, own it and champion it.
  • Resourceful with a startup mentality; ability to come up with creative solutions when confronted with challenges.
  • Agile mindset and can-do attitude.
Responsibilities
  • Analysing/elaborating drawings of properties.
  • Researching materials and proposing new solutions for the projects.
  • Assisting the company in improving and optimising the efficiency of the properties as well as materials to be used.
  • Helping with the implementation of green energies.
  • Giving ideas and feedback related to interior design.
  • Doing research and assisting in possible requirements and permissions.
