Job Description

Solar and Wind Site Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar and Wind Site Manager to join our team at EDPR ITALIA HOLDING SRL. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar and wind plants in Italy.

Main Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental regulations and company procedures.
    • Identify and register non-conformities, promote corrective and preventive actions, and implement HSE best practices.
  • Main Service Providers
    • Approve maintenance plans with main contractors and authorize implementation of maintenance activities.
    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations and optimize operational drivers.
  • Local Operation
    • Coordinate local operation of plants, including MV/HV substation operation and communication with EDPR dispatching center.
    • Ensure proper coordination with TSO and DSO.
  • Reports and Analysis
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting by maintenance contractors.
    • Perform analysis of data collected by SCADA systems and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Cooperation and Communication
    • Ensure proper coordination with remote operation and dispatch center.
    • Transmit weekly maintenance plans and update maintenance programs as needed.
  • Contractors Management
    • Ensure proper conservation and optimal conditions of plants.
    • Identify and coordinate with service providers to resolve malfunctions or underperformance.
  • Operation and Maintenance
    • Ensure fulfillment of scheduled activities as defined in maintenance plans.
    • Track and report progress to Asset Manager.
  • Budget Definition and Follow-up
    • Define expected OPEX for O&M activities.
    • Perform continuous follow-up of approved budget and track unplanned costs.
  • Management of Emergencies
    • Responsible for first contacts with internal and external stakeholders in case of accidents or emergencies.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to fostering Operational Excellence and promoting continuous improvement process.
  • Company Policy and Legal Compliance
    • Acknowledge and understand company policies, directives, and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance by contractors.
Requirements
  • Academic Skills
    • Industrial technical high school diploma; degree in engineering a plus.
  • Professional Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in wind/solar industry with similar role.
    • Previous experience with CMMS tool (SAP PM) a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Solar and wind technologies.
    • Solar and wind plants operations.
    • Basics of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
    • Predisposition for interactions with stakeholders and team members.
    • Leadership and autonomy at work.
