About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Climate VC Partner. As a key member of our investment team, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in climate tech startups. Your expertise in climate technology and sustainability will be essential in helping us drive transformative change and create a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investment Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive investment strategy that aligns with our firm's mission and values. This will involve conducting thorough research and analysis of emerging climate technologies and identifying opportunities for investment.
  • Deal Sourcing: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the climate tech ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts. This will involve attending industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including financial analysis, market research, and technical evaluation. This will involve working closely with our investment team to assess the viability and potential for growth of each investment opportunity.
  • Fundraising: Play a key role in securing funding for our investments, including working with our investment team to develop and execute fundraising strategies. This will involve building relationships with investors, including family offices, institutional investors, and impact investors.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent our firm at industry events, conferences, and in the media, showcasing our expertise and thought leadership in climate tech investing. This will involve developing and delivering presentations, writing articles and blog posts, and engaging with the media to promote our firm's mission and values.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 6 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or climate-related sectors, with a proven track record of managing early-stage investments. Direct experience in climate tech is highly desirable, but candidates with a strong understanding of technology and sustainability are encouraged to apply.
  • Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of climate technology sectors, including energy, agriculture, carbon markets, and sustainability. You should have strong relationships with key players in these industries and be able to leverage your network to source promising deals.
  • Entrepreneurial Drive: A demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. You thrive in ambiguity and are capable of making bold decisions with limited data.
  • Financial Acumen: Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, along with a demonstrated ability to assess and de-risk early-stage business models in emerging technologies.
