About the Job

Franke is seeking a highly skilled Digitalization Engineer to join our team at the Franke Center of Competence (CoC). As a key member of our digitalization team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting our Digital Production System (DPS) in daily operation, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability between various hardware and software components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with local and global IT departments to ensure effective maintenance and support of DPS infrastructure, applications, and maintenance.
  • Design, implement, and maintain a reliable and efficient communication infrastructure to support manufacturing operations.
  • Provide first-level support for infrastructure and production maintenance, identifying and solving issues, and addressing follow-up issues with suppliers.
  • Configure new dashboards on user request, add new data models and data sources, and develop and deploy new flows and queues using SmartMOM, QlikSense, and IBM AppConnect Enterprise.
  • Modify and add containerized applications, integrate third-party developments in OpenShift, and use AppSmith for frontend development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols, such as OPC UA, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, MQTT, and Ethernet/IP.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes concepts, such as pods, deployments, services, and namespaces.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices and tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Tekton.
