Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business, is seeking a highly skilled Lead Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our suppliers consistently meet our quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance processes to ensure that our suppliers meet our quality and regulatory requirements.
- Supplier Management: Lead the assessment and evaluation of new and existing suppliers to ensure they meet our quality and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to ensure that our suppliers consistently meet our quality and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, product engineering, and manufacturing, to ensure that quality is consistently flexible and able to react to changing demands.
- Problem-Solving: Lead problem-solving events to contain internal scraps and supplier escapes, find root cause and corrective action, make the risk assessment, and standardize through the Lesson Learnt/FMEA.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with product/process/system quality requirements through risk assessment (e.g. PFMEA, PQA, etc.).
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities to suppliers to ensure they meet our quality and regulatory requirements.
- Education: Degree in Engineering or High School Diploma with strong and significant experience in Supplier Quality Engineer role.
- Experience: Previous and strong experience in quality engineering roles, preferably Supplier Quality role.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of GD&T and MSA, proven experience with main quality tools (i.e. DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, PDCA, Ishikawa diagram/3x5L Why, SIPOC/Process Flow Chart, Production Control Plan/FMEA, APQP/PPAP, SPC/Run Charts).
- Language: Fluent in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
- Travel: Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Work Visa: Work Visa in accordance with local regulation is required.
- Motivation: Motivation, focus on delivering quality.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytic problem-solving mindset.
- Teamwork: Humble, transparent, open-minded, and teamwork-oriented.
